This weekend our family spent two more days celebrating lots of blessings in our life.
On Saturday McKenna, my mom and I volunteered at the Magical Wishes Party. We spent the afternoon making Christmas ornaments with children suffer from life threatening illnesses and their families. It is always an emotional day - sad to see so many kids who are ill and fun to see some past patients who are doing well and growing up! It's special for me to share it with McKenna and now with my mom.
We spent this afternoon wishing this little guy a happy first birthday. Callan has become a good friend of Kinley's. He really was happy about turning one. He just wishes he had a nap before his big party.
Speaking of wishes, I wish I could bottle up days like this one. Who knew the weather could be so nice in December. I could use a day like this once a week. I love this picture of Kinley and Cooper heading down the driveway on the way to meet McKenna at the bus stop.
I really wish that Kinley didn't have to stop and inspect every rock along the way. Next summer is going to be a challenge.
And as much as I wish this little guy would smile for a picture, he wishes I would leave him alone and stop telling him to say "cheese".
I wish she could stay this age for a little longer because she is so completely fun right now!
In all honesty, I don't have to wish for much of anything at all. I'm so blessed to have healthy kids, a loving family and wonderful friends. What I really wish is that everyone could be as fortunate as I am.
