A few weeks ago Earl and I started talking about going to the Rutgers game. With some of our family and friends tied up with other commitments we thought we would just go by ourselves. PSU games are something that we both have always enjoyed together and we thought it would be nice evening spent together.
Luckily on Friday I was able to find some awesome seats online for all four of us.
Poor Kinley, she was all dress and ready to go. Fortunately when we told her she was spending the night with Mimi and Pappy (and most importantly, Bandit) she was like, "football what?"
We ended up spending some time with Shane and Tighe,
And with the "candy lady", too. Amy's tailgate is Cooper's favorite. Can't imagine why! She would have let him eat that whole tray if she had her way!
Shane and I have a lot of differences, but one thing we have in common is football. We talk and text more during football season than any other time of year. I think we probably have my dad and my pap Landis to thank for that. I hope our kids will enjoy games together for years to come.
So, in the end, our "date night" included a few more people than we had originally intended. However, we are so blessed to be able to add this game and these people to our PSU memories.
