Rounding Out Week 2

We are quickly rounding out the second week of summer vacation and I'm already convinced that it's going to fly by.   We are keeping busy, hitting the pool when the weather permits and crafting when the weather is a little less than cooperative.
Last week we gathered some supplies and made glow in the dark lightning bug catchers.

Kinley did a great job and took her work so seriously.   It is becoming clear that my girls have inherited my mom's artistic and creative side, while Cooper tends to lean more toward my type A personality.

While we waited for our painted jars to dry we went to work making dream catchers from pipe cleaner, yarn, and beads.
 This took lots of concentration.
It was good practice for Cooper in patience and learning to tie.
Soon our "lightning bugs" were ready for wings and antennae.

At one point, I realized that I had lost track of Kinley.  That girl is so quiet and will leave your side in a moments notice.  I found her in the basement cuddled up with Tucker playing Barbies and singing her little heart out.  God bless her, she drives me to want to drink some days and then others she is just so sweet.
Sadly, in all the fun, I apparently forgot to take pictures of the finished projects which are now displayed proudly in each of the kids rooms.   We are anxious to use the lightning bug catchers but in all honesty, this mama is too tired to stay up and outside until it gets dark lately.  Maybe next week!
There haven't been any fun craft projects this week.  Instead we have filled our days with some swimming, movies and playdates.  We are getting geared up for a trip to western PA to visit Grammy Musial.  We will come home for a few days of laundry and repacking before heading to northern PA for camping with some of our cousins!
Here's hoping for great weather so that we can all enjoy some time outdoors this week!
