Branching Out

I've never been a crafty person...my mother will tell you that. I want to be crafty but my type A personality and impatience does not loan itself to art projects. But when I decided to quit my job I knew I wanted to use my time to learn and do new things.

Yesterday I packed up and headed over to my mom and dad's house with Cooper. I was there to help my mom out if she needed anything since she just had carpal tunnel surgery on Monday. But I also wanted to make a little something for Teacher Appreciation Week for McKenna's teacher. I had seen lots of cute projects on-line and decided that I could do something similar.

This is what I did with the help of my mom and the handy cricut machine....



I have to say that it turned out rather well for my first time around. I hope her teacher likes it. I even enjoyed myself and I'm looking forward to new projects and challenges. I'm happy to have turned over a new leaf.
