Ever since McKenna finished the Harry Potter series back in the spring I have been planning and pinning a little surprise for the kids. Today we finally managed to have our Harry Potter Day. I am not an expert (at all) about Harry Potter. Luckily the internet is and had some ideas for us.
We started out our day making wands. They were easy for McKenna and Cooper to manage on their own and Kinley had a turn decorating as well.
We also made Rememberballs. They are supposed to help you remember what you forgot. I need a surplus of these. Again, a pinterest win where everyone could manage to complete the craft without a major meltdown and it looked like the picture said it would.
The kids were thrilled with them!
We wrapped up Harry Potter Day with a meal of Cornish balls (meatballs) for dinner. There are no pictures of the meatball making that took place while Kinley was running around without pants and the phone was ringing and oh, the dog was having a seizure. Yeah, no pictures of the meatballs. BUT! McKenna and Cooper did an amazing job making them virtually on their own while I tended to said dog and naked child. Honestly.
Tomorrow Kinley heads back to daycare two days a week and I am happy to say she is excited. Our trial run this morning went so well that she asked for me to sign her in and leave. Fingers crossed tomorrow is as positive.
